The IJMB Program stands for the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Program, which is an advanced-level program designed for students who wish to gain admission into Nigerian universities through Direct Entry (DE). It was established by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU Zaria) in 2000. Till now, they still moderate this program, which spans for nine (9) months and is divided into two semesters. During this period, students receive comprehensive lectures from Monday to Friday to fully prepare them for the final IJMB examination. Historically, the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) was established in 1974 under statute 5 of the Ahmadu Bello University law to administer the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE) as an alternative A-level examination for students or candidates seeking undergraduate admission into the university. The IJMBE is a qualifying examination conducted yearly, primarily covering Advanced level subjects for admission into 200-level programs in Nigeria.
In addition, the IJMB examination is conducted in February of every year in designated and accredited institutions, with the results released within 90-120days after the examination, for admission processing. Students are required to purchase a Direct Entry form from the JAMB office and apply to any university of their choice using the IJMB result. Candidates with deficiencies in O-Level English language and/or Mathematics can also remedy these subjects by registering for O-Level exams while undergoing the IJMB program.
CMR Educational Consults takes pride in partnering with accredited study centres in various states in order to enhance effective classes with practical training, so as to prepare students with the necessary skills to excel in this Program. Upon successful completion of this program, students will be given the widely recognized and accepted IJMB certificate, which opens doors to gaining admission into either a federal, state or private University. Registration for IJMB is open to students with a minimum of 5 O’Level credits, also to students awaiting results. To ensure a smooth registration process, we encourage you to carefully read through this entire page, as this will help you have a better understanding of how to register for this program. We are pleased to inform you that registration for the 2024/2025 academic session is currently ongoing. Interested applicants can easily register for this program by clicking here
